SOLD / “End of the Jam.” Oil on wood, 6 in x 8 in.
In this painting I wanted to convey the sticky quality of the empty jam jar. And in front of the jar is another one of those lovely red unpolished apples – you can see that it’s half-way polished just from my moving it around in the still life, trying to get a nice arrangement.
The jam color is actually similar to the colors I used in this cantelope painting, also painted on wood.
On a side note, the show at c’est la Vie in Edmonds went well. There was a good turnout and I got very positive feedback about my paintings. 15 of my small daily paintings and a couple 16×20 studio landscapes are up for another few weeks, so you still have time to see it if you are in the area and missed the opening (I took my two biggest paintings down so that I can show them next week in Spokane).
