Last year while we were on a family trip, driving through the farmland around Pierre, SD, on our way to Seattle, we came across all these sassy cows lunching on the outside of their fence. They seemed really happy. Cowboys came out and herded them back in, in a very fluid way that looked well practiced. The cows looked lovely with the ditch hill and the light …
I’m thinking a lot about how to bring my show next year at Northern Galleries together so it’s cohesive and powerful. I think I’m going to paint a large version of these sassy cows for that. I just can’t get enough of the light (and how playful they look).
New Event Announcement – November will be an exciting month! On November 6th, I’ll have a table/booth at South Dakota Art Museum during their Guild Tree Trimming event! Come by for some early holiday shopping! I’ll have art reproduction prints and small works and fresh paintings.
Upcoming Event – Next Wednesday (Sept 5th) I’ll be talking about being an artist-entrepreneur at 1 Million Cups. I’m very excited to be sharing my artwork at the event. It’s at 9 am at the coffee shop at the Children’s Museum in Brookings, SD.
