This week was intense!
I’ve been spending a lot of time trying to get organized, so I know what is coming up, and a lot of time doing the work. It’s a lot of time and brain energy. I’ve just been MFA-ing and sleeping during the week. That’s the whole point.
My biggest notes so far about going to grad school after 50 are
- I’m so excited about the work!
- I am completely annoyed by technology that is intended to make things easier for students but instead wastes time and makes a lot of students feel like they don’t quite have a grasp on what all they should be doing.
- Start with a bigger planner!
- Maybe because I’m older, or because I’m tired and excited, I’m just advocating for myself in a way I never did before.
- I am so excited about every class and project and teacher!
