Group Coaching for Artists ($6 first month)

Accelerate Your Painting Journey with Mentorship and Group Coaching from professional oil painter Jessie Rasche

“Your Zoom classes have been making an online painting class feel very much like a live classroom experience. I have enjoyed painting with you and I feel like I’m learning more all the time! Thank you!”

“I can’t tell you how excited I am to find you and finally make a decision to paint again. I have been in my oil paint four days in a row.  Saturday was so fun. I loved painting with a limited palette. That was an eye opener. […]  I do believe with some guidance I can achieve what my mind envisions.

Sincerely,  Anne Marie”

“I have enjoyed your online lessons….. You are a very talented artist and I’ve enjoyed  ‘meeting’ you!”

About Jessie

I paint the landscapes, animals, and people of the Midwest in a contemporary painterly style that celebrates the paint as well as the subject. I primarily paint alla prima (in one sitting) in oils.

I’ve shown in galleries, museums, and art centers in Washington, California, South Carolina, Delaware, Illinois, Minnesota, Kansas, and South Dakota, have 9 paintings in public collections, and wonderful collectors in over 30 states, Canada, the UK, and the Isle of Man. Exhibiting member of Oil Painters of America and American Impressionist Society.

More importantly, I love to help artists become more confident in painting!

Resources for Students

1) Monthly lesson (uploaded to the class page, so you can watch at your leisure).

The lesson will be on a fundamental topic (Getting a Great Start, Mastering Value, Mixing Clean Colors, etc.). If you would like to see the lesson presented live, join the zoom lesson. But if you miss that zoom, no worries! The lesson is available for you to watch whenever you want, and as many times as you want.

2) Weekly zoom office hours / painting together time – These are informal, unstructured get-togethers. They alternate between Thursday evenings and Saturdays to accommodate different schedules – and will occasionally be at different times as requested. Feel free to stop in for a few minutes or stay the whole time. This time is for you.

“I’ve been painting every week because of this!”

– Sue

If you have questions, bring them. If you would like any refreshers on the class content, come ask. If you’d like to paint together, bring the painting you are working on and let’s paint together. If you want to paint but are not currently working on a painting, I’ll have some source material available (not a paint-along, but shared studio time). Or just come visit.

Schedule

New lessons are released in the middle of each month, and are available for as long as you are a student.

Office hours alternate between Saturday at noon CST and Thursday at 6pm CST, to allow for different schedules.

If those times don’t work for you, ask questions or request critiques through the private Facebook group or through email.

Supplies

You will need a basic setup of paints. The demos are in oil paint, but some students use other types of paint (acrylic, watercolor, and guach so far) and have said that the lessons are still valuable to them.

For most demo I will use the following oil paint colors

During the color mixing lessons we will also explore using Ivory Black and Yellow Ochre. I encourage substitutions, and you are welcome to contact me with any questions or to request a lesson on setting up to paint.
