This is the workshop I wanted when I started painting in oil!

Learn how to get started with oil painting. Learn about the different materials, how to set up your painting area for the most satisfying results, and paint two small paintings with me, to practice putting paint on canvas.

Before day 1

  • Materials: What do you really need (besides the absolute essentials).
  • Getting a map-in onto canvas.
  • Brush Care.
  • Paint-along.

Day 2

  • Studio safety.
  • How and when to thin paint.
  • More on getting started.
  • Paint-along.
  • Q&A.

Day 3

  • Color mixing.
  • How and when to use painting mediums and varnish.
  • Paint-along.
  • Q&A.
