Lesson 1: Alla Prima Bird Painting – a value study
Capturing form and light (approx. 1 hour). Available starting Saturday, Feb 6th at Noon CDT. Lesson can be watched until Mar. 28th.
If you join live, after the approx 1 hour “live” demo/lesson I’ll be available for answering questions for two hours. If you would like to set up your own painting and show me your pallet and setup for feedback, you can.
If that time doesn’t work for you, that’s ok. Students will have a month to paint on their own and ask questions through the class FB group (or email if you don’t Facebook).
Gain confidence in this supportive and fun class by learning and practicing the things that are important when capturing animals in a loose, painterly style.
This class is designed for artists with some experience, but will be valuable to artists at any stage – from beginners to advanced artists.
The demonstrations will be in oil paint, and will show oil techniques – but the class will cover general painting concepts and foundations, so you’ll still get a lot out of the class if you use other materials. Feel free to ask questions.
A short supply list will be emailed after you sign up for the class. Substitutions are encouraged if you have different paints – Feel free to ask questions.
