About the painting
I like to take photos from my mom’s porch, to paint from. Something about these two young men just drew me in, and I knew I would want to paint them.
Their colors are so crisp. I wanted to make their legs looks like they’re in movement – so the edgework in the legs was a neat challenge.
I believe these young men are Mormon missionaries, but I could be wrong. Their pleasant demeanor is evident from half a block away, and their movement and strong black, white, and red colors look beautiful with the green trees.
